The Shanghai Aiwenyi card I bought last year was about to expire, so I figured I might as well use it this weekend while I had the time — and that's how I ended up at Shanghai Wild Animal Park today.
It's been ages since I last went to a zoo, and I've always thought of zoos as places for kids to play and learn. Seeing these animals at a different age really does hit differently — for instance, I finally saw a flamingo 🦩, the one that shows up on countless cultural products.

As travel notes go, there isn't much to say. A zoo has to be experienced in person — static photos can hardly capture that sense of interaction.
Last time in Linhai I happened to see a peacock that had lost its footing, but I never got to see one fan its tail 🦚. Today I saw one in full display the moment I entered the park — I was really lucky.
